Duas

Our Lord, indeed whoever You admit to the Fire - You have disgraced him, and for the wrongdoers there are no helpers. * Our Lord, indeed we have heard a caller calling to faith, [saying], ‘Believe in your Lord,’ and we have believed. Our Lord, so forgive us our sins and remove from us our misdeeds and cause us to die with the righteous. * Our Lord, and grant us what You promised us through Your messengers and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, You do not fail in [Your] promise.” (Aal-E-Imran: 192-194)

My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to work righteousness of which You will approve, and admit me by Your mercy among Your righteous servants.” (An-Naml: 19)

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from a heart that does not humble itself, from a supplication that is not heard, from a soul that is never satisfied, and from knowledge that does not benefit. I seek refuge in You from these four.

When does the ‘Asr prayer time end?

The ‘Asr prayer time ends at sunset. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) defined the time for the ‘Asr prayer by saying, "Whoever completes a rak'ah of the ‘Asr prayer before the sun sets has made it on time." This means that the latest time to perform the ‘Asr prayer is just before the sun sets.

When does the Maghrib prayer time end?

The Maghrib prayer time ends with the setting of the red twilight. This is the reddish glow that appears in the western sky immediately after sunset. It is the final indicator of the end of the Maghrib prayer time and the beginning of the ‘Isha prayer time.

How do I complete the Maghrib prayer if I missed two rak'ahs?

If you missed one rak'ah, you should perform it after the imam has finished, reciting only Al-Fatiha silently. If you missed two rak'ahs, you should stand up after the imam has finished and perform one rak'ah, reciting Al-Fatiha and a Surah aloud. Then sit for the Tashahhud, and then perform another rak'ah, reciting only Al-Fatiha silently.

When is the Istikhara prayer not accepted?

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) forbade performing optional prayers at certain times, such as during sunrise and midday. Therefore, it is best to avoid performing the Istikhara prayer during these times and instead offer the Duha or Qiyam prayers. If there is clear evidence from Islamic teachings that one option is preferable, there is no need for the Istikhara prayer, and one should follow the clear evidence.

When does the ‘Isha prayer time begin?

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) stated that the ‘Isha prayer time begins from the end of the Maghrib prayer time, which is the time of the setting of the twilight, and extends until the middle of the night. He said, "The time of the Maghrib is until the red glow of the sunset disappears, and the time of the ‘Isha is until the middle of the night."

Can I perform Eid prayer at home?

It is preferable to perform Eid prayer in congregation at the mosque. However, if there is a reason preventing you from going out, such as illness or fear of an epidemic, it is permissible to perform Eid prayer at home.
