Duas
My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and [many] from my descendants. Our Lord, and accept my supplication. * Our Lord, forgive me and my parents and the believers the Day the account is established.” (Ibrahim: 40-41)
O Allah, I ask You for all good, both immediate and deferred, what I know of and what I do not know. I seek refuge in You from all evil, both immediate and deferred, what I know of and what I do not know. O Allah, I ask You for the best of what Your servant and prophet asked You for, and I seek refuge in You from the worst of what Your servant and prophet sought refuge from. O Allah, I ask You for Paradise and for anything that brings me closer to it, in word or deed, and I seek refuge in You from the Fire and from anything that brings me closer to it, in word or deed. I ask You to make every decree You have decreed for me good.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the trial of the Fire and the punishment of the Fire, from the trial of the grave and the punishment of the grave, and from the evil of the trial of wealth and the evil of the trial of poverty. I seek refuge in You from the evil of the trial of the false messiah (Dajjal). O Allah, wash away my sins with water, ice, and hail, and purify my heart from sins just as You have purified the white garment from dirt. Distance me from my sins as You have distanced the East from the West. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from laziness and old age, from sin and debt.

How can I focus during prayer?
To increase focus during prayer, you can follow these steps:
1. Remind yourself before starting that you are standing before God.
2. Performing ablution properly helps prepare mentally and spiritually for prayer.
3. Choose a quiet place to pray and avoid noise and distractions.
4. Try to ponder the verses of the Quran and understand their meanings while reciting them.
5. Keep your body still, as outward humility affects inner humility.
6. Avoid rushing through the movements and focus on each part of the prayer.
7. Ask Allah to help you focus and be humble in your prayer.
What are the Sunnah prayers?
Sunnah prayers are voluntary prayers that are linked to the obligatory prayers and are performed before or after the five daily prayers. They are strongly recommended and aim to increase reward and closeness to Allah, and to compensate for any shortcomings in the obligatory prayers. The total number is 12 rak'ahs daily:
1. Before Fajr: 2 rak'ahs.
2. Before Dhuhr: 4 rak'ahs and 2 rak'ahs after.
3. Before 'Asr: No confirmed Sunnah, but 2 or 4 rak'ahs are recommended.
4. After Maghrib: 2 rak'ahs.
5. After 'Isha': 2 rak'ahs.
Is there a difference between obligatory and Sunnah prayers?
Obligatory prayer is a prayer that Allah has explicitly commanded, and it is obligatory on every adult Muslim to perform it at its specified times. This prayer is one of the five pillars of Islam, and a Muslim cannot neglect it under any circumstances. Leaving an obligatory prayer is a major sin and exposes the Muslim to severe punishment in the hereafter. Obligatory prayer has specific conditions and pillars that the worshipper must adhere to. Sunnah prayer is a voluntary prayer, meaning it is not obligatory but is recommended and emphasized in the Prophet's Sunnah. It includes Sunnah prayers and other prayers such as the Witr prayer and the Duha prayer.
What should I do if I am traveling and want to pray?
If you are traveling and want to pray, you are allowed to perform some simplifications in prayer to ease the burden, such as:
1. Shortening the four-rak'ah prayers (Dhuhr, 'Asr, and 'Isha) to two rak'ahs. The Fajr and Maghrib prayers are not shortened.
2. Combining two prayers together at one time.
3. The ablution of a traveler remains valid for a longer period than that of a resident. He can perform ablution over his socks or khuffs for three days and nights instead of one day and night.
4. Try to face the Qibla (direction of prayer). If you are on a moving vehicle and it is difficult to determine the Qibla, you can pray as best you can.
What is the shortened prayer, and when can I perform it?
The shortened prayer is a reduction in the number of rak'ahs of the four-rak'ah prayers (Dhuhr, 'Asr, and 'Isha) for the traveler, so that he prays them in two rak'ahs instead of four. This is considered one of the concessions that Allah has legislated to ease the burden on the traveler.
How does a supplication reach the deceased in their grave?
A supplication can reach the deceased through several means: most importantly, persistence in supplication, ongoing charity, and being good to one's parents. Also, seeking forgiveness for the deceased and supplicating for them are among the best deeds that bring them mercy and forgiveness.
